FAQ: Shadow Tatt Edition ✨
🧚🏼♀️ I'M BAD AT MAKEUP — WILL THIS ACTUALLY WORK FOR ME?
Short answer: yes. That’s literally who this is for.
astrobabe makes a press-on eyeshadow that applies in about 5 seconds. There’s no water, no brushes, no technique to learn.
You’re not “doing eyeshadow” in the traditional sense — you’re transferring a pre-designed eye look directly onto your eyelid.
Most people who love Shadow Tatt say the same thing: “I’m terrible at eyeshadow and this finally worked.”
If traditional eyeshadow has ever stressed you out, this was made for you 😍
💖 WHAT EVEN IS PRESS-ON EYESHADOW?
Press-on eyeshadow is a ready-to-wear eye makeup format — and astrobabe makes it in a way that actually works.
Shadow Tatt by astrobabe is a press-on eyeshadow that applies in about 5 seconds, with the colors and patterns already designed for you 🔮
You press it onto your eyelid, smooth it with your fingers, and peel — the pigment transfers instantly.
There’s no water, no brushes, no primer, and no makeup skill required. Both eyes come out even by default 😃
If you’re bad at eyeshadow, new to makeup, or just don’t want to spend 30 minutes on your eyes every time, this is what people mean when they say easy, beginner-friendly eye makeup.
😱 IS PRESS-ON EYESHADOW CHEATING?
Nope, only if you count brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush, instead of a manual one, as cheating too.
You can do eyeshadow the traditional way, just like you can brush your teeth manually. But some tools are designed to remove guesswork, technique, and effort — and still give great results 💥
Shadow Tatt by astrobabe is press-on eyeshadow where the hardest parts are already handled for you: color theory, placement, and symmetry.
Instead of spending time free-handing eyeshadow and fixing mistakes, you just press, peel, and go 🤗
Press-on eyeshadow isn’t about cutting corners — it’s about designing smarter tools that work for real life. Bad lighting, shaky hands, being tired, or just not wanting to practice for years to get decent eyeshadow ✨
💌 IS IT JUST A STICKER, TEMPORARY TATTOO, OR A FILTER?
No — and you’re not wrong for wondering. A lot of people think that at first 💗
astrobabe's press-on eyeshadow is real cream eyeshadow, not a sticker or temporary tattoo. There’s no ink involved and nothing stays stuck on your skin.
When you apply it, the pigment transfers directly onto your eyelid and the applicator peels away.
You don’t need water, glue, or primer. Once it’s on, it wears and blends like traditional eyeshadow — it just gets there way faster 👏🏼
If it looks too easy to be real, that’s because the design did it's job, not because it’s fake 😇
💧 DO I NEED WATER, GLUE, OR ANY TOOLS TO APPLY IT?
Nope. You don’t need water, glue, primer, brushes, or tools 🤗
Our press-on eyeshadow transfers directly onto your skin. You press the applicator onto your eyelid, smooth it with your fingers, and peel it off — the eyeshadow applies instantly onto your eyelid.
There’s nothing to mix, nothing to activate, and nothing extra to buy. Everything you need is just in the kit we give you. If you can use your hands, you can apply this 😊
👀 DOES THIS WORK ON HOODED EYES?
Yes — and honestly, hooded eyes are one of the biggest reasons people love press-on eyeshadow.
Traditional eyeshadow can be frustrating on hooded eyes because placement disappears when your eyes are open, and blending takes a lot of trial and error.
Shadow Tatt by astrobabe works differently.
Because the applicator is flexible and you control the placement, you can line it up so the pigment stamps above your crease, not inside it. That way, the eyeshadow actually shows when your eyes are open 🎉
A lot of people with hooded eyes say this is the first time their eyeshadow looked intentional instead of hidden — and they didn’t have to fight their eye shape to make it work 🥹
🙋♀️ WHAT IF I MESS UP THE APPLICATION?
Even though we designed this to be easy af, it's totally normal to slightly mess up the application the first time.
astrobabe press-on eyeshadow is a different format than traditional eyeshadow, and some people need a try or two to get used to it.
The good news is that it’s very low-pressure 💜
Because it applies in seconds and is re-usable 3-4 times, you can just remove it and try again. There’s no long blending process to undo and no penalty for experimenting until it feels right.
A lot of people who are bad at eyeshadow say this is what makes it less stressful — you’re allowed to try, adjust, and redo without wasting time or ruining your makeup 🚀
🤔 HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Once it’s on, Shadow Tatt wears like regular eyeshadow — just more even and reliable.
Most people get 10+ hours of wear, and it’s designed to hold up through movement, heat, and long nights 💃 It doesn’t crease easily, doesn’t smudge around, and doesn’t transfer all over your face once set.
We include a setting powder to help lock everything in place, which is why people wear it to festivals, parties, and nights out without worrying about touch-ups 🤩
It’s made for real life, not just standing still in good lighting 😝
🌟 CAN I REUSE IT? HOW MANY TIMES?
Yes — Shadow Tatt is reusable 🎉
Most people get multiple wears per pair, depending on the design and how it’s stored:
• Graphic / patterned designs are typically reusable up to 3 times
• Solid / blendable designs are typically reusable up to 4 times
After wearing, place the oval applicators back onto the strip, lay the protective film over them, gently press, and store in a cool, dry place for next time 🎇
It’s makeup — not a sticker — so reuse depends on how you apply it and care for it, but it’s definitely not a one-and-done product 💞
🫧 IS IT SAFE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN? IS IT NON-TOXIC AND CRUELTY-FREE?
Yes. Shadow Tatt is made with a cosmetic-grade cream eyeshadow formula that’s designed to be gentle on skin, including sensitive eyes 🪩
It’s non-toxic, cruelty-free, and doesn’t require glue, water, or harsh adhesives — the pigment transfers directly like regular cream eyeshadow.
That said, everyone’s skin is different. If you’re extra sensitive, we always recommend doing a small patch test first, just like you would with any new makeup 😊
🧼 HOW DO I REMOVE IT?
Just like regular eyeshadow — with whatever makeup remover you already have at home.
Makeup wipes, micellar water, cleansing balms, cleansing oils, or face wash all work.
Oil-based removers tend to be the fastest (oil breaks down pigment really well), but nothing special is required.
There’s no glue, no adhesive, and nothing to “peel off” from your skin. It removes as easily as any cream eyeshadow — no residue, no staining.
🎁 IS THIS IS A GOOD GIFT FOR SOMEONE WHO'S BAD AT MAKEUP?
Yes — this is actually one of the easiest makeup gifts you can give.
astrobabe's press-on eyeshadow is made for people who want to look put-together but don’t enjoy doing makeup or never really learned how.
There’s no color matching, no tools to buy, and no skill required — they just press, smooth, and peel.
It’s especially popular as a gift for sisters, friends, daughters, and partners who say things like “I’m bad at makeup” or “I never know what to do with my eyes.”
🚀 WHAT MAKES ASTROBABE DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL EYESHADOW BRANDS?
astrobabe didn’t just make another eyeshadow — we built a different way to wear eye makeup.
Instead of loose powders or complicated palettes, astrobabe makes press-on eyeshadow: a pre-designed cream formula that applies in seconds and comes out even on both eyes.
No blending skills, no brush collection, no long routines.
If traditional eyeshadow has ever felt frustrating, messy, or intimidating, this format was made to remove all of that — and still look intentional and high-impact.
